The 15 days of 2009’s CNY finally over. It was one of the best CNY ever that full with enjoyment, excitement and experiences. I wanted so much to write something about my trip during CNY but something more interesting slotted into the queue which I really need to do it without any delay.
We were planning to have a trip to Cameron Highland since end of last year but due to circumstances, it was not materialize. This plan was again brought into discussion when Mellissa offers us to have a night stay at the place own by her family. How could we miss this out? So Cameron here we go to spend our last 2days of CNY there.
10 of us heading towards or destination in 3 cars (we have some very big dude around and also have luggage look like we are going for 1 week stays). I was on the last while cruising on the highway and turned to lead after we had pit stop at Tapah’s R&R for some Baskin Robbins. Yeah, I like windings road more than the highway.

After 20mins of fun drive along the winding “old road” to Cameron, as you may know, winding roads are full of surprises, my car finally decided to have an intimacy with a tourist van after been clean for years.
I was driving at the speed slightly faster than average people do (I slowed down already after a passenger was rolling all over the place) and while turning into a blind corner, I was surprise to see a white van from the opposite lane cut into mine and a stamp on the brake pedal, activated the ABS and yet a huge sound of BANG!!! The comic below illustrate the incident. Should I send this to the police station?
The first stop of the unplanned itinerary starts here. All 10 of us keep laughing after we stop by the roadside making the van driver kind of having “????” in his mind. Some even made an advertising video clips out of it. There were many video clips taken thru out the trip and I wonder if it was inspired by this very 1st one. Oh yes, I have weird friends.
The car’s steering hose broke and empty the steering oil making 5 (Kimberlycun, ShaolinTiger, ME, Suanie, Rachel) of us having picnic out of nowhere with only water and surprisingly 5 umbrellas from 2 cars while waiting for the tow truck. Those drove by the road gave a glimpse at us and I would say it was 100% success rate. The rest (KY, Mellissa, FA, Sotong )of us headed to Cameron to empty up the car and coming back for us. We were waiting for the tow truck for more than 1 and half hours wondering why none stop by to offer helps until finally a car stop by and it was actually someone from the tow company. What a pity. That uncle takes up the role from us waiting for the tow truck and we continue with our journey to the West Cameron Highland.

Stay tune for the rest of the update on the trip.
