3 hours 15 minutes nonstop astonishing performance, 10,800 audiences, and 27 songs with 2 of them were medley, filling up National Stadium Bukit Jalil on 20th March 2009’s evening. The aboriginal Taiwanese pop singer Zhang HuiMei (张惠妹), in short A-Mei (阿妹) or aboriginal name Gulilai Amit (古歷來·阿蜜特) heated everyone with her superb singing and performance throughout the night. That’s my 2nd concert of the month where the 1st was Jasan Mraz’s.

It was her 2nd last Star Tour Concerts 2009 and the very last for overseas country. She delighted the audience with her heartbreaking sentimental and powerful rocking songs with plenty of costumes changing even a changed on the stage itself blocked by some dancers.
Out of surprises like some seducing moved on a BED with 4 dancers on singlet and boxer, jammed along with musician on a guitar, interrupted singing due to tears, native instruments performances while A-Mei did her costumes changing, awesome pyro-technique (fire blast, fireworks, explosion with blink blink paper flying all over the sky etc), a Malay song sang (Lagenda by Sheila Majid), was the part that driving the audience mad. I was amazed by how accurately she can pronounce the lyrics.
The BED on the stage
Must watch A-Mei’s Lagenda
The encored part was great with almost everyone standing up singing along and moved the body with the beats. The atmosphere was enormously explosive and I would consider that the peak of the night. In despite of the poor arrangement of sitting where even with you holding the most expensive tickets, you get to sit only by the sideway of the stage instead of the middle where you can really feel the surround effect, it was still one of the best concerts I ever been to.
This shows how far I was (top) and that’s how much I paid (bottom)
Btw, I’m wondering why we are not allowed to take picture in the concert where some of the concerts do allow that. The reasons I can think of are disclosure of the performer’s costumes and stage design, there’s nothing else I can think of. Anyone can give me another 10 valid reasons we cannot take picture in a concert? I do understand if we are not allowed to take video clips on it. Well, I have to admit I’m a jerk because I did both. I DUN CARE~ and I’m not the only one out there….
the very last 7 mins of the concert. feel the atmosphere the heat (abit noisy though, turn down your volume)
