Ghost of Girlfriends Past

Written by Myhorng. 6 comments Posted in: Movie, Review

I was right about the ending of the movie on my entry post for winning this premiere screening from Nuffnang. Who wouldn’t anyway on such romantic comedy? However, the concept of the movie was what makes it remarkably refreshing. The flashbacks took up almost one third of the plot and looking back at the old days, it was amusing. The way it travelled through each scene was incredibly hilarious.

Been an adult romance comedy, funny sexuality jokes and situation was never out of the scenes. Connor Mead (Matthew McConaughey) as a womanizer basically owes his attitude primarily to his Uncle Wayne (Michael Douglas) who was a legendary swinger. He adores this mentor so much that he actually acted just like him all the possible way until he met the ghost of Uncle Wayne once again. A reality was soon disclosed to him by showing him what he did in the past and all the results which he didn’t know. Been a charming womanizer, while you been worship by guys who so wish they could sleep with all the women in the world and also gals who desire to be screwed by you with curiosity how good you can be on bed, you will be hated by the broken hearts and contemplated by your surroundings. Eventually, you will be living a life by your own which look glamour to the outsider but empty and lonely by yourself. You made your choice and live with the consequences.

It was a hilarious delightful light watch with pleasant actor’s line up. Jenny Perotti (Jennifer Garner) as the real love that buried down under Connor Mead’s unconscious mind was lovely. When I left the cinema, I was happy and during the screening I manage to laugh out loud. Didn’t regret watching it in the cinema but in my humble opinion, I think a home screening will not deprive the sensation on this movie nevertheless.
