My ticket winning luck attempt succeeded. I won myself a pair of RM308 tickets, a MU jersey and a bottle of limited edition Smirnoff vodka with this entry. With the rest of the gang hold RM98 tickets, we headed to the venue as early as 3.30pm, 2 hours before the match starts.
Those who stay around Sri Petaling and Bukit Jalil definitely had an awful weekend thanks to Manchester United. The traffic around the areas was horrible. While I blame MU for this, Galvin hardcore MU fans quoted me with this. “@Myhorng Wrong! It’s the non- MU fan like you but still wanna go join the crowd are to be blamed. :p”
The match was overwhelmed with Manchester United fans and patriotic supporter like me. Ok, I know I wore MU Jersey. It’s free!!!! from my tickets sponsor, hence I need to do my part as the grand prize winner no? However, trust me, deep down my heart, I was cheering for team Malaysia all the way.
The atmosphere at Bukit Jalil Stadium was ecstatic covered with red. I believe it had been a while since the stadium was almost 95% occupied. My seat was not exactly the nearest to the field, it was pretty good though, not complaining at all.
Manchester United in line
The match started with MU scored 2 goals on the 1st half of the game and the very 1st goal was as early as the first 8mins of the game. Not surprise at all right? MU should be scoring. Our team played well on defending. Both defender and goal keeper did what they do best delighted the crowd with some awesome save. However, on the other hand, our striker looked confused while planning for an attack. Team coordination and strategy just didn’t work at all. It was like they were having this on their head, “wtf wtf, what should I do what should I do shit shit shit, aiya, just rembak (shoot) lar”. Nevertheless, our first goal was beautifully done. To me, that was the best moment of the match. Malaysia scooooored! Well done.
The Match
We got an equalizer early of 2nd half made use of the opportunity where mistake done by MU’s goal keeper. I missed this goal as I was outside getting my 100 plus. Wasted but at least got to hear the crowd roar. Soon enough, Michael Owen showed he deserved a place in this English Champion team by putting the ball into the net for a victory point. MY2 – MU3.
bye bye
Stupid fellow ran into the field
Nice meeting you guys. Malaysia Boleh!
The experience was great. Cheering with the hardcore Malaysia fans was fun. And oh ya, another ticket of mine gave to my ex-housemate the Sotong, Carol. Summary from Twitter as below.
