2 weeks ago, there was this most talk about Arthur’s Day in aligned with Guinness’s 250th celebration. Malaysia was the lucky host for Asia Pacific region. I knew it’s going to be jam pack, hot and whatever but there are a lot of the people I know is going. Therefore, care not, Sunway Lagoon I will go, To Arthur!
It was Friday and I decided to go directly after work to avoid the traffic and as early as 6pm, entrance of Sunway Lagoon was already full of black ants. Simply crazy!
Black Antz Queue for Black Eyed Peas
When you have some famous friends, you may not need to squeeze with the rest like the above. Thanks to Nuffnang, we went into the venue through special invites passage just beside MOS (I have no idea why I kept saying MOIST instead that night) after ST and Kim arrived an hour late due to the delayed Black Eyed Peas press conference.
1st black drink with ST, Kim & Lucy Liu | did my own Guinness draft @ Arthur Lounge
Back section of Silver Zone | ST, Sotong and Suanie to Arthur !
We were given passes to special dedicated Silver Zone with free flow of black liquid (Guinness Stout). Not only we have our own bartenders, there was Guinness waitress too. Couldn’t believe that this was concert that we went. Best part was, the section was not too far from the stage and have ample space to move around.
I did walk to the other end of the surf beach cutting through the crowd in order to meet up with few ex-colleague who queuing up at Arthur Lounge for their black liquid. It was the hardest walk ever.
Huge stage with runway in front
1/5 of the crowd in front of the stage
another 1/5 crowd behind us and drink section on top of the purple area
This was how much space we had for ourselves cause most people went to the front section of Silver Zone enjoying the performance.
Great music, enough space, free flow of alcohol, a bunch of crazy people, YOU Party!!! Everyone was jumping around, dance, laughed, had FUN. Not too sure if other surrounding us was enjoying our act or just think that we were simply crazy. Sorry, we didn’t give a damn. By the way, BEP sang live was pretty bad, however, we still enjoyed all out.
extra RM 100 spent for nothing?
