It was quite a while since my last post. I need to work ok, and recently was super duper busy with all sort of shit. Seriously I tell you… Shit. Gosh~ blog backlog piling up fast.
Now, I’m sitting at Starbuck LCCT for my business trip to HongKong and I think it’s time to update something about my last business trip which was also my first visit to the country built up with islands, Philippines. It is always fun and eye opening when visiting country you never been before. It will be better if it’s not a business trip though.
The impression Philippines gave me was messy. Just look at the electrical supply below, I wonder how their electrical technician going to do their work. I doubt there will be any labeling available. What really captured my eyes was the public transport. It was interesting to see all sort of funny vehicles all over the place transporting people from place to place. Jeepney represent Philippines the best. Each and every Jeepney has its own style and taste.

Interesting Transportation in Philippines
1st dinner was something really Philippines. Rice is something typical Filipino wouldn’t want to miss in their meal. Grilled chicken calibos with sauce mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, lime and chili. Mango juice will definitely a must try in Philippines.

I like the mix sauce
2nd day, Philippines style buffet lunch with location office’s colleague. 2,000 peso was spend for 5 of us. The restaurant was kinda cool with mansion look alike interior design. I found the food was just normal or just that I was not used to the favor.

I had 2 round and basically those were what I ate.
This was my driver who drove me all over the place during my visit and he had at least 3 rounds of those portion.

He looks happy right?
Just not too far from my hotel, there’s this place call grill bar where they have live band performing all night long and they do serve food. Sound like a place we shouldn’t miss right? We always came across awesome Filipino live band but back in Philippines, I just paid for my dinner just right after the 2nd band performed. However, the grilled pork was scrumptious.

Great food lousy band performance.
Before my flight back home, I tried the so call distinctive day to day meal for the local. It was sort of economy rice back here in Malaysia. You got to select whatever you like and pay accordingly. We ordered grilled pork (which was a little too hard, over grilled), mix-pork internal and mix-vegetables. Both the latter were actually quite delicious despite their look.

The local “economy rice”
