Yesterday dinner was great. We were invited for a dinner and beer tasting session by Craft Brews located at Mutiara Damansara. Thanks to HsuJen for the invites and in the invitation email they have this quote, “Our food is seriously non-halal” which I like best. LOL.
The place is kinda cozy with more open-air hangout spaces than indoor seating. To beer enthusiasts out there, this might be a place for you to venture into something different from the usual ordinary brand on the market. On top of their signature, premium Reddot Brewhouse’s selection, they do have other 4 types on draft and 10 award-winning bottled beers as alternative. Further to that, there are selection of serving range from ribs to pasta including of burger as well on the menu and they are ditanggung halal.
Beer buffet, free flow house’s signature drinks throughout the night. Many headed towards this rather than the food and I was on the sissy side, I need fill up my tummy before intoxicate myself with these colorful drinks.

Wheat Beer | Monster Green Lager | English Ale | Czech Pilsner
Due to the bad traffic, many couldn’t arrive on time and the event delayed quite a bit and by the time food was ready to be serves, hungry ghost we were. The food was pretty delicious even while serving on buffet style. It could be better if serves direct from the kitchen. I personally like the Caramelized Roast Pork the most. Both ribs with honey mustard and the BBQ sauce was scrumptious but I personally thinks that I could be more tender but well, I do like them. By the way, the wedges and the spicy eggplant were surprisingly awesome too.

Dinner… 70% PORK
Look at the happy #porkgang faces. We enjoyed the PORK and had fun with the BEERS

From the right,
Wheat beer actually was the one I like best. you won’t go wrong with wheat beer.
Dark brown English ale which is kinda bitter and it does has this bitter aftereffect man. However, out of the 4, I think only this beer consider having personality of its own.
The Czech Pilsner feels ordinary, light and smooth. Quite nice actually.
Green Monster, really don’t know how to comment. Not bad but it just looks weird because of the color I think. A healthy beer with spirulina. It actually sound so wrong right? hehehe

the drinksssss of the night.
The evening not all about tummy filling and alcohol intake. It came with some light education which Suanie refer it as Beerducation. We were brief on how the beer is brew and how to identify a nicely brewed beer.

The Beerducation session

Who cares about the brew processes, we only want the CHERAS CHEERS
During the Beerducation, we were given bacon and also brownie to go with the green monster lager. I think I got the best answer for why beer goes well with bacon. “Beer goes well with bacon because it is not halal”. Do you agree with this answer? you better be. On the other hand, sweet stuff just taste disgusting with beer. Yucksss…

Incredible hulk green monster lager with bacon & brownie

Alcoholic bitch who purposely lost a game to win a beer

The green one looks like cough syrup. But, it definitely looks special for beer.
