Driving up north in a ridiculously slow speed taking up nearly a quarter of my day, tight schedule of business meeting & lots of paper documentation to be completed was kinda draining my energy away. As such, I was determined to say yes to an invite to join the group dinner at Miraku, G-Hotel recently. I immediately agree knowing the facts that I know some of them either loosely by the name or some that I’ve spoken to occasionally.
It was a group dinner by JobStreet.com PG sales team to celebrate their recent so called sales achievement & for some merriment. I was by then the only outsider joining them. How should I describe the whole encounter – was it rather weird or was it rather uncomfortable to be posed with question of “can we interview you”. These Jobstreet people do really like to ‘INTERVIEW’, don’t they? LOL. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant fun encounter.

Everyone is up there
The process of food ordering was uniquely silly than my sillycar. JC started it by pulling out a piece of paper out of her handbag. Apparently, she has known what she wanted to order and simply passed the list to the waitress who stunned for awhile, overwhelmed by her ‘creativity’. Well prepared maximizing the budget set for individual, salute. Everyone of them was ordering tones of food like there is no tomorrow or there was a feast. Mid-month 7 festival on lunar calendar describe best.

Look at the table full of food. really mid-month 7

These were my order. Not as much right?
Another little outsider was Emeryn, SM’s daughter who has been positioned at the end of the table like some little princess chairing the group. Being the central of attention of that night, she delighted everyone with her beauty and her stint of funny act. Her mom was relatively busy that evening feeding her to the max. Interestingly, the sicked CL was suddenly energetic to walk over pretending to finish her bowl of ice-cream, Big-Bully.

The little princess
The highlight of the evening was how a ‘story’ of scallop shell was told & innocently believed. The hotate or cheesie scallop was served in a pair using the scallop shell as its plate. It was told that the shell was labeled by its own serial number due to its uniqueness to be used up to 50 times only. Due to that, JC held the scallop shell up high, searching anxiously for the so called serial number. Epic.

Serial Number Checking 123
I might be the only outsider to them and also often put into certain uncomfortable situation even from the very beginning of the event. I was greeted by the question of how much I was missed & offering of a very warmth question of kisses & hugs. All in all, it’s just some hospitality shown for an acquaintance like me. I’ve enjoyed the food & evening though.
