Car, something used to be luxury rather than necessity is now needs to many, especially Malaysian. Don’t tell me you are asking why. The answer is as simple as 123, “because all Malaysian can afford a car our public transport sucks big time.”
Our expectation for this 4 wheels mechanical creature is getting higher along the way started from the engine performances and both interior and external aesthetically aspects to safety features that reduce injury and death rates tremendously over the years.
Active safety features like anti-lock breaking system preventing accident from occurring and passive safety features like safety belts (I wonder how many of us actually buckle up for our own safety rather that doing it merely because the traffic rules said we must? By the way, I do buckle up for my own safety.) and Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) or more commonly know as air-bags are features that safe our ass from ending up in the hospital or worst rest on the very last bed of your life, coffin. The picture on the left taken from Wikipedia on SRS showing bursted air-bag.
I came across this during my last trip to China. It simply tell us, who cares about safety and I fixed it without spending expensive few thousand for SRS replacement.
