Thinking of what to have for dinner is somehow rather a routine kind of thing which looks simple but often crack up the brain. The Blue color D sign with a yellow crown logo captured my sight every single time I drop by SS2 and finally today, I decided to give it a try.

It is a nice cosy place with nice ambient and the food selection are quite diversify. However, the choices are not too far away from what offered by OldTown, Paparich, Wongkok, etc but, they does looks a lot better.

I ordered Dry Mutton Curry Noodle with a Honey Lemon Energy Booster. Most of the curry items on the menu stated ‘no santan’ and I was running this thought inside, “how nice a curry will be if without the unhealthy stuff in there?” Surprisingly, I was more than satisfy with my orders. The mutton curry was thick, creamy and aromatic. The mutton itself  was tender but it could be better if it’s slightly juicier.

By the way, I do not have a clue what’s the different between normal honey lemon and the one I ordered. Basically, I think they tasted the same to me. Perhaps I shouldn’t be comparing as I didn’t try them side by side.

Yuki ordered Nasi Lemak Chicken Curry and Dragon Fruit Strawberry Shakes. I sampled everything she ordered and I preferred my choice. The anchovies were soggy and smelly. Apart from that, the rest were acceptable. Again, the chicken was too dry and lucky the curry cling to it was not too bad.

The fruit shakes was thick and yummy. The chemistry between the combination of dragon fruit and strawberry does make it taste good.

It is a very nice place to hangout and chill but the food is not entirely economical. We can have 4 meals at SS2 Misai mamak for what I paid for the above. It burned RM41.80 off my pocket. Not going to be a daily eatery but I don’t mind coming back here once in a while to chill and enjoy the food.

Address: Lot 255886, Jalan SS2 / 65, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
